Plant Manager Job Description
The Plant Manager will monitor and Manage production processes and adjust schedules as needed. As well as implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus.
Plant Manager Responsibilities
- Prepare all required reports daily, weekly, and monthly.
- Estimate the Cost of food production materials and prepare budget control.
- Implement innovative strategies to streamline factory operations.
- Collaborate with quality control managers to establish and execute quality control processes.
- Ensure that factory machinery is in good working order by monitoring maintenance schedule.
- Increase production while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards.
- Be responsible for production output, product quality, and on-time shipping.
- Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results.
- Share a trusting relationship with the workgroup and recruit, manage, and develop plant staff.
- Collect and analyze data to find places of waste or overtime.
Plant Manager Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Engineering, Production and Operations Management or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of working experience in a similar role.
- An MBA in Management will be an added advantage.
